SE HA CONVERTIDO EN UNA DE LAS ACTRICES MÁS SOLICITADAS DE NUESTRO PAÍS

Desde muy pequeña supo qué quería ser de mayor. Con once años llegó desde Argentina con ése mismo sueño y lo que no se imaginaba Natalia Verbeke es que se convertiría en una de las actrices más populares de su país de adopción. La gran popularidad le llegó con su papel en Al otro lado de la cama , aunque Natalia ya llevaba años haciendo teatro y pequeños papeles en el cine. Pero a partir de ése momento su carrera se disparó convirtiéndose en una de las actrices más buscadas por los directores, y una de las más deseadas por el público masculino. Con una gran sonrisa, Natalia cuenta orgullosa cómo está siendo su paso por una de las series más exitosas de nuestra televisión, Los Serrano . Un papel que le está aportando mucho como actriz, y que le ha hecho valorar todo el trabajo que en la pequeña pantalla se realiza.
- Tu segunda temporada en Los Serrano . ¿Cómo la estás viviendo? - De una manera muy divertida. Nos lo estamos pasando muy bien porque cada vez hay más tramas liosas (ríe). En esta temporada estoy teniendo la posibilidad de trabajar mucho con Alexandra, -África-, y con Jaydy, -Celia-, porque ahora mi personaje va a vivir con ellas. Va a haber más trama femenina.
- ¿Qué tal con tus compañeros? - (Sonríe) Muy bien. Ya soy una más de esta gran familia. Desde el primer día me acogieron estupendamente. Estoy aprendiendo mucho de ellos. Con las chicas me llevo genial... Lo separo porque entre nosotras somos una piña. Somos amigas. Y a Resines lo adoro, es maravilloso como persona y como compañero.
- Eres experta en la gran pantalla pero, ¿qué te está aportando esta experiencia? - Estoy aprendiendo mucho porque no estoy acostumbrada a hacer televisión, que el ritmo es muchísimo más rápido. Gracias a esta experiencia estoy desarrollando la memoria muchísimo porque aprendo los guiones a una velocidad impresionante... Y sobre todo me aporta el trabajar a un ritmo muy rápido, sin dejar la calidad a un lado.
- ¿Crees que muchos actores menosprecian la televisión? - Totalmente. La mayoría de gente asume que haces televisión porque no tienes cine, y no tiene nada que ver. Puedes hacer televisión porque el proyecto es bonito, el guión interesante,... En mi caso dejé a un lado cuatro proyectos de cine para hacer Los Serrano .
- ¿Es buena escuela para los que empiezan? - Sí, y para los veteranos. Me parece muy feo dejar a la televisión en un segundo plano cuando es un lugar enorme de conocimiento para el actor. Aquí puedes desarrollar un personaje que te da popularidad y seguridad. Es una escuela muy, muy buena. También pienso que hay que hacer de todo, tocar todos los palos.
"SOY MUY SOÑADORA, ES ALGO QUE NO ME GUSTARÍA PERDER NUNCA"
- ¿Recuerdas ahora la primera vez que te pusiste ante una cámara? - Sí, fue en el cine, en la película Un buen novio .
- ¿Has cambiado mucho desde entonces? - Sí, ahora tengo mucha más experiencia, conozco más el lenguaje del cine, de las cámaras, y tengo mucho más miedo, porque cuanto más sabes, más miedo te da ya que conoces la dificultad de todas las cosas, pero también me lo paso mejor porque, aunque siempre tienes nervios, me siento más segura.
- ¿Qué balance has hecho de 2007? - Ha sido un año muy, muy bueno. Ojalá que el siguiente se quede igual que este. Y si es mejor todavía, genial.
- ¿Eres una mujer soñadora? - Sí, soy muy soñadora, y creo que es algo que no me gustaría perder nunca. Desconfío mucho de una persona que no sueña, creo que todo el mundo debe soñar.
- ¿Has soñado alguna vez que habría pasado si no hubieras venido a España? ¿Habrías estudiado Arte Dramático en Argentina? - No sé qué hubiera pasado, me lo pregunto tantas veces... Creo que sí, pero a lo mejor no estaría aquí, a lo mejor estaría haciendo teatro en Buenos Aires. Desde pequeña tuve muy claro que quería ser actriz, y lo fui porque necesitaba serlo. Esperé a terminar los estudios para presentarme a la escuela de Arte Dramático, y eso mismo habría hecho allí porque los años eran los mismos, ahora lo que hubiera pasado luego, no lo sé.
- ¿Hay algún proyecto de cine en 2008 que nos puedas adelantar? - En paralelo a Los Serrano nada, no me gusta mezclar proyectos. No soy capaz. Pero para el próximo año si hay un proyecto de cine. Rodaré mi primera película en Francia.
- ¿Dominas el idioma? - ¡No! (ríe). Estoy en ello... Ahora mismo estoy estudiando mucho para poder realizarlo.
- ¿Y cuándo te veremos en Hollywood? ¿Te gustaría? - Sí, me encantaría, porque eso te abre un mercado enorme para elegir papeles. Irme allí no está en mis planes porque no tengo esa ambición, pero me encantaría que me pasara como a Maribel Verdú que le llaman. Eso sería lo ideal.
